1st One!

Considering this is my very first blog I am completely not sure what to talk about but I’ll start with a little something about meJ
I try to cook every single day because food is what I love most in life (besides my fiancé and our puppy) but with my 9-5 it becomes very difficult to have the time to try new things. I’m also in the middle of planning a wedding which interferes with the cooking as well, but that I don’t mind so much.
I feel like every single day I’m learning a more and more that food is something very near and dear to my heart and I truly believe that I am going to have a fabulous career with it.

Michael and I have a little tradition on Wednesdays when we watch Top Chef. I make an amazing meal that I’ve never made before, we eat, and then we watch the show.
This week (yesterday) it was coconut curry lamb chops with a roasted red pepper sauce and some Thai vermicelli noodles and Asian cucumbers to go with it. It was am-a-zing. I kept trying to get a picture of it but my presentation wasn’t that great so no pic this time L
In the process of making this amazing meal I was truly afraid that it was going to be pretty gross. I had to marinade the chops over night in a coconut curry mixture that was less than appetizing and I was thinking that the flavors night not be that great. Much to my surprise they turned out perfect! Michael grilled (I’m still learning my way around the grill) them to perfection!
I can’t wait for next week!

Speaking of next week… I will be applying to get into Sullivan’s Culinary program for the fall and I am PRAYING that I get in. This would really be a dream come true! Keeping my fingers crossed**

  1. Mmm, your Wednesday dish sounds yummy (even though I don't think I would really like lamb chops)! I'm excited to follow your blog & I'm even more excited for you to start at Sullivan!

All of the sudden I'm remembering your neighbor guy that went to Sullivan... I don't remember his name but I remember going to his place to watch the Sox games a few years back when they won the WS... and Michelle stole his slippers, LOL! Was it Blake?? Oh, memories ;)

  2. Yes!! it was Blake! I was actually looking for him and that Brandon Russell guy that lived next door b/c they were both Chefs and i thought we should chat. But, alas, I did not find them.

I'm very excited to have you follow my blog! hehe:) You're going to have to take some time out of your life to teach me how to do things on here tho. I'm clueless :/
